The Sooke School District recognizes the traditional territories of Coast Salish: T’Sou-ke Nation and Scia’new Nation and Nuu-chah-nulth: Pacheedaht Nation. We also recognize that some of our schools reside in the traditional territory of the Esquimalt Nation and the Songhees Nation.
DESCRIPTION
The Sooke School District has approximately 11,300 students and serves the communities of Sooke, Port Renfrew, Metchosin, Highlands, Langford, and Colwood.
We are a busy school district, and unlike many other districts in our province, we are growing in size! In fact, we anticipate a growth of more than 300 students per year for the next 15 years.
