Why study in a Work-Study program?

A Co-Op program (paid internship) is ideal for those looking for an experience of studying and doing paid internships.

The student will have 40 hours of weekly work, of which 20 correspond to the compulsory practices based on their study program and 20 hours to their work permit granted by the student visa.

PROGRAMS

  • Certificate: 12 weeks in class + 12 weeks Co-op
  • Diplomas : 24 weeks in class + 24 weeks of Co-op
  • Diplomas: 48 weeks in class + 40 weeks Co-op

ACCOMMODATION

  • Host Family Home (Homestay)
  • Student residence
  • Apartment, house or rented room

REQUIREMENTS

Each institution has different requirements depending on the program, the most common are:

  • Being over 18 years
  • Level of intermediate English
  • Valid passport
  • Student visa
  • High school finished
  • Translated final transcript and transcript of qualifications
  • Letter with motives in English
  • Two letters of recommendation

Co-op EXPERIENCE

The term cooperative gives you the opportunity to integrate academic studies with related work experience. The programs provide cooperative placement (co-op *) in the field of studies.

* Students will be offered paid or unpaid entry level positions related to their field of study. The Professional Services Department will provide full support to students in booking and preparing for interviews. It is the student's responsibility to perform well during all interviews, as well as throughout the cooperative period. Placements are subject to availability and will vary by program, season, and job market changes, as well as the student's level of English and prior professional and academic experience.
